Woman Airlifted After Crash

A Berryville, Ark., woman was hurt over the weekend after her vehicle ran off Highway 39 south of Shell Knob. The driver was airlifted with serious injuries. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Patty J. Ginder, 69, was driving a 2009 Mini Cooper south on Highway 39 when the incident occurred on Sunday, May 10.
According to the report, the Mini Cooper ran off the right side of the road at around 12:25 p.m. about five miles south of Shell Knob and Viola in Stone County. After running off the road, the vehicle hit a tree.
Patty Ginder suffered serious injuries in the crash. It is unknown if she was wearing a seat belt or not. She was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
The 2009 Mini Cooper was totaled in the crash. It was towed from the scene by Table Rock Auto Clinic, of Shell Knob.
This incident was investigated by Sgt. Rowe of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D.
