Vehicle Stopped in Construction Zone Rear-Ended

Two drivers were hurt when one failed to stop in a work zone on Wednesday, January 10.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Dennis M. Merath, 66, of Reeds Spring, was stopped in a construction zone on Missouri 13 north of Highway 86. His 2001 Ford F250 was hit from behind by a 1998 Ford Expedition driven by 30 year old Brenda K. Pearson, of Roland, Okla.
Pearson sustained moderate injuries in the crash. She was wearing a seat belt. She was taken to Cox Hospital in Branson by Mercy EMS.
Dennis Merath, who was also wearing a seat belt, had serious injuries. He was taken to Cox Branson.
Pearson’s 1998 Ford Expedition was totaled. It was towed by Larry’s Towing of Branson West. Merath’s 2001 Ford F250 had moderate damage. It was towed by Chris’s Towing of Lampe.
