Two Weekends of Bridge Closure Scheduled in Cape Fair

November 5, 2020
MoDot has announced a new date for the closing  of the Cape Fair Bridge
The bridge will be closed from 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, until 6 a.m. on Friday, November 6. Another weekend of bridge closure has also been scheduled, and it falls between Saturday, November 14, until 6 a.m and Monday, November 16
Contractor crews will remove and pour new approaches, construct new end bents and expansion joints, and work on the safety barrier of the Route 76 bridge as part of the Missouri Route 76/Table Rock Lake Bridge Project.
School districts, emergency services and first responders have been notified of the closure.
Despite the impact this work is expected to have on traffic, business entrances and streets on either side of the closure will remain open.
North-bound from Cape Fair, the detour follows Missouri Route 173 to Missouri Route 248 and then continues on to Missouri Route 413. It will be indicated by signs however MoDot urges motorists  to find their own alternate routes if possible.
Electronic message boards will be located near the planned road work displaying information to alert drivers of recent changes in the work schedule. Conditions likely to cause interruptions to the schedule include weather and/or construction delays.
