Two Injured in Spokane Crash

Charles Blain, 83, of Lampe, received moderate injuries in a crash on Hwy. 13 at Calabash Drive in Spokane on Wed., March 31, 2021.
The crash happened at 6:25 a.m. as the 2017 Kia Sportage Blain was driving northbound slowed for other traffic and was struck from behind by a 2016 Mazda CX-5 driven by 25-year-old Liberty Mease of Galena. After being struck from behind, the Kia Sportage then traveled off the left side of the road and overturned. Both drivers were wearing safety devices.
 Mease received minor injuries and was transported to Cox Hospital in Branson by private vehicle. Blain was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by ambulance.
The Mazda driven by Mease suffered extensive damage. The Kia Sportage, driven by Blain, suffered total damages.
Missouri Highway Patrol Cpl J.W. Choate investigated the crash.
