Two Hurt After Driver Has Medical Event

Two people from Kimberling City were hurt over the weekend after one had a medical event while driving. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Jerry L. Davis, 69, of Kimberling City, was driving a 2011 Kia Sorento when the crash happened after 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, about a mile south of Galena.
According to the report, the Sorento was southbound on Highway 413 when, at 3:10 p.m., Davis suffered from a medical event. The vehicle went off the road and hit a guardrail.
Jerry Davis and the passenger in the Sorento, Shirley J. Davis, 68, both sustained minor injuries in the crash. They were taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by EMS for treatment. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of crash.
The 2011 Kia Sorento had minor damage and was towed by Extreme Towing.
