Two Big Victories for Galena Bears Basketball

The Galena High basketball team played two games this week. The first game was at Wheaton on Tuesday, December 8th. The second game played was at home against Cassville on Friday, December 11.
The game against Wheaton was an easy win for the Bears with a final score of 77 to 41. Wyatt Snelson led the Bears with 28 points, followed closely by Zayne Gale with 25. Snelson also pulled down 16 rebounds, including 6 straight defensive rebounds in the 3rd quarter. The game was a close game in the first half, but Galena pulled ahead by almost 30 points in the 3rd quarter.
Galena pulled an amazing win over Cassville. The final score was 61-29. The top scorer was Zayne Gale who scored an amazing 17 points. Ethan Bailey made all of the three pointers he shot. Snelson led the team in assists (4) and rebounds (9). It was a very good game played by Galena and a nice fight put up by a very physical Cassville squad.
