Truck Hit From Behind And Pushed Into Oncoming Traffic

         Five people were taken to the hospital on Saturday, May 5, after a three vehicle crash north of Clever in Christian County. Accordng to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, John W. Hines, 47, of Nixa, was driving a 1999 Ford F150 when the crash occurred on P Highway, one mile north of Clever. 
         Hines was stopped in the northbound lane of the highway to make a turn when, at approximately 12:15 p.m., the truck was hit from behind by a 2017 Nissan NV200 van, driven by Lawrence R. Stoner, 46, of Rogersville. 
         The collision pushed Hines F150 into the 2016 Ford F150 driven by Nicholas R. Rogowski. Rogowski’s vehicle was traveling south on Route P. 
         A total of five people sustained moderate injuries as a result of the crash. Rogowski did not report any injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt. However, a passenger in Rogowski’s F150, 38 year old Heather D. Campbell, of Clever, had moderate injuries. She was using a safety device at the time of the crash. She was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. 
         Lawrence Stoner, driver of the 2017 Nissan van, had moderate injuries as well. He was wearing a seat belt and taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. 
         Three people, including a 16 year old male, were hurt in the 1999 Ford F150 driven by Hines. John Hines and the 16 year old male had moderate injuries and were wearing seat belts. Kristina D. Mullins-Hines, 35, of Nixa, was not wearing a seatbelt. She had moderate injuries. All three were taken to Cox South in Springfield. 
         The 1999 F150 had extensive damage. It was towed by Double Eagle Towing, of Marionville. The 2016 F150 had moderate damage. It was towed by Republic Towing, of Republic. The 2017 Nissan NV200 was totaled. It was towed by Henry’s Towing of Brookline, Mo. 
         ​This incident was investigated by Corporal E. B. Adams of Missouri State Highway Patrol.
