Three Dead In Apparent Drug Overdose In Southern Stone County

Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader reports that three people were found deceased in a car in Southern Stone County over the weekend. 


According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, the three were found in a car at an abandoned trailer on Norwood Road at approximately 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, after deputies were dispatched to a call about a deceased male in a car. 


According to the release, no foul play is suspected in the deaths of the two men and a woman. The three likely all died of drug overdoses, according to the Sheriff. Stone County Coroner John Cunnyngham took possession of the bodies. 


The three were identified as Julie Orman, 26, of Shell Knob, Joseph Johnson, 35, of Green Forest, Ark. and Daniel Calvert, 32, also of Green Forest.


​No further information on the deaths has been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
