Teen Hurt After Car Runs Off Road

January 18, 2018
Isaac Estes-Jones

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Trevor L. Franco, of Springfield, was driving a 2005 Dodge Dakota west on A Highway about one mile west of Hurley when the wreck occurred at 8:30 p.m. Franco’s age was not listed on the crash report at press time.
The report states that the vehicle first slid off the right side of the highway, but then returned to the road. However, it then went off the left side of the road. The Dakota hit a sign and slid down the embankment. It hit a tree and finally came to rest in the creek bed.
Franco, who was not wearing a seat belt, reported minor injuries in the crash. He was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
A 17 year old male from Clever also had minor injuries. He was also taken to Cox South Hospital for treatment. He was wearing a seat belt.
This crash was investigated by Corporal J. W. Choate.
