January 17, 2019

Isaac Estes-Jones

A 16 year old from Crane was seriously hurt last week after running off the highway. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the teenager was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt north on Highway 413 when the wreck happened at 7:35 a.m. on Friday, January 11.

The vehicle ran of the side of the road about one mile south of Crane, near the intersection of Burr Oak and Highway 413. The report states the vehicle went into the ditch, hit a culvert and overturned.

The driver suffered serious injuries in the crash. She was not wearing a seat belt. She was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.

The 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt was totaled in the wreck. It was removed from the scene by Johnson’s Towing, of Crane.

This incident was investigated by Sergeant C. Stuart, of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D.
