Congratulations to September’s Teachers of the Month who were honored at last week’s Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce member luncheon. Thank you Table Rock Community Bank for your support to make this program possible.
Reeds Spring Teacher of the Month for September is Mrs. Tenille Lee. She has been an educator for 12 years, 6 of those years have been at the Reeds Spring Primary School teaching students with special needs. Her students have benefited greatly from her willingness to go the extra mile for them, and she strives to provide the best intervention plan for each child. Her desire to promote inclusion into the classroom setting is respected by her colleagues and the families she serves. Mrs. Lee is passionate about meeting the needs of each child, believing that every child can be successful with the correct level of support. Mrs. Lee’s colleagues have shared that they admire her ability to connect with every child, no matter their uniqueness.
Galena  Teach of the Month is Mrs.  Tiffany Sifford. She is beginning her sixth year with the district, and all of her years of service have been in first grade at Galena-Abesville Elementary School. Mrs. Sifford’s energy, classroom family atmosphere, and willingness to help others is well-known in the building.
A student currently in Mrs. Sifford’s class shared, “Mrs. Sifford is the best teacher in the whole wide world! She helps me with my math and reading. She gives me hugs and I love her.”  A former student said, “Mrs. Sifford is a very hands-on teacher. She teaches to every kid’s needs. She is loving, kind, & funny. She comforted me when I was feeling down. I’m in the sixth grade now and still go see her every day. She makes me feel better when I’m having a bad day. I will always look up to her and she will always be my #1 teacher.”
Blue Eye Teach of the Month is Mrs. Michelle Souden. Mrs. Souden began her teaching career in 1995, and most of her 26 years in the Blue Eye R-5 School District have been in the kindergarten classroom. Her time in those kindergarten classrooms has been described by colleagues as ‘herding cats,’ and some days she might agree with this! Mrs. Souden exhibits the patience of a saint, working well into the evening hours most every day finishing one school day and preparing for the next. Her lessons are engaging and powerful as she prepares her students to move to the next stage in their school career.
