The Crane Student Council will host a blood drive in partnership with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks this Friday, March 2 at the Middle School Gym. The drive will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointments are necessary.
All participants will receive a free t-shirt.
The Community Blood Center has a new process that makes it easier to register and get through the line. By visiting www.cbco.org and clicking the link Donor QuickPass link, donors are able to start the sign-up process before leaving for the blood drive. By visiting the site on the day of the donation, donors can read the educational materials and answer the health questions in advance. Then, a donor specific barcode is generated that must be either printed out or emailed to an account the donor can access on a smartphone. When donors take that barcode to the donation location, they are able to finish the eligibility to donate determination and review any questions they had with a donation specialist.
For more information about this blood drive, contact Crane Student Council Advisor Karen Faucett by calling the school, 723-5300.
