Stone County Deputy Loses Home In Fire

April 22, 2020
PictureThe home that burned down this weekend near Elsey belonged to a Stone County Sheriff's Deputy. Donations are being accepted by the Stone County Citizens in Action.
A Stone County deputy lost his home last week after a fire. According to Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader, the deputy's home burned in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 18, while he and his wife were at work.

According to the Sheriff, the house was located near Elsey and has been declared a total loss. The fire was reportedly put out around 3 a.m.

The Stone County Citizens in Action, a civilian support organization for Stone County law enforcement, is accepting donations to help the deputy and his family get back on their feet.

Donations can be mailed to Stone County Citizens in Action, PO Box 84, Kimberling City, MO 65686. All donations indicated to go to the deputy will go to that family, Rader said.
