Stolen Property Recovered From Brown Springs Area

Stone County Sheriff’s deputies reportedly recovered a stolen ATV and other stolen property from a residence near Brown Springs last week. One suspect was placed under arrest.
According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, deputies received information about the stolen property at a residence on Brown Springs Road. After applying for and executing a search warrant, they allegedly found an ATV reported stolen out of Stone County, along with two kayaks and other stolen goods. The stolen items were reportedly found in the back yard and other areas on the property.
Tabitha Carey, 28, of Billings, was placed under arrest at the scene. She was placed under arrest on suspicion of possession of stolen property.
A probable cause document was submitted to the Stone County Prosecutor’s office. On Friday, March 13, Carey was charged with the class D felony of stealing. She was held on a cash or surety bond of $20,000.
