Springfield Man Loses Life In Crash On Ozark Mountain High Road

          A 49 year old Springfield man lost his life on Monday, July 23, after crashing a dump truck on the Ozark Mountain High Road north of Branson.
          According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Kenneth L. Bartchlett, of Springfield, was driving a 1989 Mack dump truck south on Missouri 465 when the crash occurred at 3:27 p.m. 
          According to the report, the truck went off the right side of the road and hit a bluff. Bartchlett, who was not wearing a seatbelt, is Troop D’s 64th fatality for 2018. 
          Bartchlett was pronounced deceased at the scene by Deputy Taney Co. Coroner Bryan Koppitz. His body was taken to Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home in Branson. 
          ​The 1989 Mack dump truck was towed by Larry’s Towing of Branson West. It was totaled in the crash.
