Sparta Man Hurt In Single Vehicle Crash

A Sparta man was hurt in a crash between Crane and Galena over the weekend. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Nathan L. Hutchinson, 22, of Sparta, was driving a 2000 GMC 2500 that ran off the road on Sunday, September 22.
The report states Hutchinson was drving the vehicle north on Missouri 413 when it ran off the left side of the road at 3 p.m. around one and one half mile north of Galena.
The truck hit an embankment before coming to a stop.
Nathan Hutchinson suffered moderate injuries in the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment by Christian County Ambulance District.
The 2000 GMC 2500 had extensive damage from the crash. It was towed from the scene by Double Eagle Towing, of Marionville.
This incident was investigated by Msgt. C. A. Stuart of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D.
