Sheriff’s Office Adopts Family, Spreads Christmas Cheer
December 20, 2018

The Stone County Sheriff’s Office made Christmas a little brighter for one family in the Lakes Area of Stone County. Sheriff Doug Rader and several others from the office delivered $350 worth of gifts to a family in Stone County. Every year, the office raises money to adopt a family for Christmas. Funds this year came from the No Shave November and Don’t Shave December campaigns, where deputies paid $10 to grow a beard. The Sheriff’s office then works with Love, INC., to find a family to help out with Christmas.
