Shell Knob Man Charged for Drugs and Guns

A Shell Knob man faces drug and firearm charges after he was allegedly found with meth and two loaded rifles.
According to a statement of probable cause, Jeffrey Martin, 40, of Shell Knob, granted Stone County Sheriff’s deputies permission to search his residence on Joyland Road outside of Shell Knob on Monday, January 1. A substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine was allegedly found in Martin’s bedroom, along with two loaded rifles. Martin is currently on probation and is a convicted felon, according to the cause statement. He allegedly admitted to law enforcement that he knew he was on probation and that he was not supposed to have guns.
Martin is being held in the Stone County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm.
