Scooter Wrecks North Of Crane, Injuring Driver

A Tulsa man was hurt last week when his scooter crashed just north of Crane. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the vehicle ran off the road and hit a fence.
Thomas D. Dochstader, 80, of Tulsa, Okla., was driving a 2017 Taotao 49cc scooter north on Missouri 413 when the wreck occurred on Friday, July 6. At approximately 7:36 p.m., the scooter traveled off the right side of the road and hit a fence about two miles north of Crane.
Dochstader suffered moderate injuries in the crash. He was taken by Cox Ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. The report states that Dochstader was exempted from wearing a safety device.
The 2017 Taotao scooter had minor damage. It was towed by Double Eagle Towing to their lot.
