RSHS To Perform Rock Of Ages

February 28, 2019

Reeds Spring High School’s drama department will perform Rock of Ages (High School Edition) March 7-9 at 7:00 p.m. each night in the Reeds Spring Middle School auditorium.

The musical is set in Hollywood’s Sunset Strip during the 1980s. Legendary rocker Stacee Jaxx takes the stage and groupies line up for their chance at an autograph. Amidst the madness, aspiring rock star Drew longs to take the stage as the next big thing (and longs for small-town girl Sherrie, fresh off the bus from Kansas with stars in her eyes).

But, the rock and roll fairy-tale is about to end when developers sweep into town with plans to turn the fabled Strip into just another capitalist strip mall. Can Drew, Sherrie and the gang save the strip–and themselves–before it’s too late? Only the music of hit bands Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and more hold the answer.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3 for students. All tickets will be sold at the door the evening of performances starting at 5:30 p.m. Cash or check only. All seating will be general admission.
