RSHS Student Named Academic All-American in Speech and Debate

The National Speech and Debate Association recognized Reeds Spring High School’s Jordan Shortt as an Academic All-American. To qualify, a student must earn at least 750 merit points while competing in tournaments, demonstrate outstanding character and leadership, and earn a GPA of 3.7 or higher. Fewer than 2% of NSDA members receive this honor.
Shortt also qualified for the state speech and debate tournament by finishing second in Radio Speaking at the district tournament.
