Reeds Spring Primary Earns Statewide Recognition

February 7, 2019

Reeds Spring Primary School earned statewide recognition for creating and sustaining conditions that promote high levels of student learning. RSPS was one of just ten schools named a 2019 Missouri Sustaining Exemplary Professional Learning Communities School.

This recognition went to schools who have previously been recognized as Exemplary Professional Learning Community Schools and have continued to maintain high levels of student achievement and teacher collaboration.

“The Primary School team is committed to the Professional Learning Community (PLC) model and sees student learning as its highest priority,” said principal Karen Murray.

A professional learning community promotes the analysis of data to increase student achievement, building a positive school culture for teachers and students, and the increase in collaborative, research-based practices in every classroom.

The Missouri Department of Secondary and Elementary Education recognized RSPS at the 2019 Powerful Learning Conference in Osage Beach on January 28.
