October 25, 2018
PictureRotarian Erica Dees hands out dictionaries to third graders at Reeds Spring Elementary School.
Nearly every third-grade student in Stone County now his or her own dictionary, courtesy of the Rotary Club of Table Rock Lake.
The dictionary distribution is an annual service project performed by the Rotary Club.
Many of the students were excited to receive the dictionaries and immediately began flipping through them. Some students even wrote thank-you notes.
“It is very generous of you,” wrote Reeds Spring student Baya Clifford. “I will learn a lot this year and this dictionary is going to help me.”
“I have never seen a dictionary before,” wrote Alexis Black. “I will try to use it all the time.”
“It is so awesome that you would do this for us,” wrote Bailey Zittleman.
