Driver Injured After Vehicle Runs Off Highway 65

January 10, 2019

Isaac Estes-Jones

A Reeds Spring man was hurt last weekend after his vehicle reportedly ran off of Highway 65 near the Arkansas border. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Donny L. Aydelott, 34, of Reeds Spring, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe south on US Highway 65 when the crash occurred just after 2 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018.

The incident occurred after the Tahoe ran off the left side of the roadway and began sliding near the 4.8 mile marker. The vehicle then returned to the road and rolled over.

Aydelott, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries in the crash. Taney County Ambulance took him to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.

The 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe was totaled in the crash. It was towed by Ozark Mountain Towing.

This incident was investigated by Trooper J. Schwartz, of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D.
