Reeds Spring Man Dies In Christian County Motorcycle Wreck

July 18, 2019

Isaac Estes-Jones

A Reeds Spring man lost his life after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a truck near Highlandville on Friday, July 12.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Raymond S. Lambert, 59, of Reeds Spring, was driving a 2006 Harley-Davidson FXDI westbound on State Route 0 at the intersection with Glossip Road, about one half mile south of Highlandville. At approximately 7:25 p.m., an eastbound 2003 Ford F-150, driven by Joshua D. Mease, 35, of Reeds Spring, failed to yield to the motorcycle and attempted to turn in front of it.

Raymond Lambert was pronounced deceased at the scene by Christian County Coroner Caleb Baker at 8:35 p.m. He is Troop D’s 50th fatality for 2019. His body was taken by the Christian County Coroner to Springfield Mortuary. He was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.

Deborah R. Massimiano, 56, of Branson, suffered serious injuries in the incident. She was taken by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. She was wearing a safety device.

The driver of the Ford F-150, Joshua Mease, did not report any injuries in the crash. As required by law, he was tested for alcohol. An online MSHP arrest report indicates that Mease was booked into the Christian County Jail and MSHP requested charges be filed for possession of marijuana and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a fatality crash (misdemeanor). He was later released and an online court records search did not return charges against Mease as of press time.

The 2006 Harley-Davidson FXDI and 2003 Ford F-150 both had extensive damage from the collision. They were towed from the scene by Ozark Auto.

This incident was investigated by Cpl. Adams and Major Crash Investigative Unit Sgt. Richardson with assistance from Trooper Harmon.
