Reeds Spring Man Charged With Possession

November 15, 2018
Isaac Estes-Jones
A Reeds Spring man is being held in the Stone County Jail as of presstime after allegedly being found with drugs in late October. According to a statement of probable cause, used in filing charges, Raymond C. Swarer, 39, of Reeds Spring, was placed under arrest on Thursday, October 25.
Deputies with the Stone County Sheriff’s office responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle on Armadillo Lane in Reeds Spring. Upon locating the vehicle, information on the driver and passenger were run through police records search. Deputy Owens reportedly discovered that Swarer had several active warrants. Swarer was then taken into custody.
During a search of Swarer’s person, a pink container was allegedly found in his pocket; a glass pipe that field tested positive for methamphetamine was reportedly found in the container.
Swarer also allegedly had a baggie in another of his pockets that contained a crystalline substance that field tested positive for meth. Swarer allegedly asked the arresting deputy not to charge him for these items because, “he had just discovered them in a trash pile near the area.”
Swarer is being held in the Stone County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
