Ponce de Leon driver killed in crash

A 20-year-old, Ponce de Leon man, lost his life in a fatal crash, November 25, 2020, on Main Street, one mile south of Nixa.
Jacob Davis was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Alero, at approximately 6:45 a.m., when he ran off the roadway and struck a tree. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene by Christian County Coroner, Mandi Armitidge, at 7:32 a.m. Davis was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. Davis’s vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
The accident was investigated by Trooper M.G. Yendes of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. This was Troop D’s 102nd fatality of 2020.
