“Tales of the Ozarks” Presented By Steve Otto

Stone County Public Library’s Galena Branch will have a special program Monday, October 22 at 6:30 p.m. entitled “Tales of the Ozarks” and is presented by Missouri Humanities Council Speaker Steve Otto.
Mr. Otto is a full-time professional storyteller who has worked in television and has acted and directed more than 30 roles in Community Theater. He presents more than 200 programs each year to all age groups and has taught storytelling at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Missouri State University, the Kansas City Metropolitan Community Colleges, Rockhurst University, and Lindenwood University.
Please join us as we “Discover the humor of the tall tales and follow the exploits of wondrous characters born in the imaginations of generations of storytellers who migrated from the Old World and passed through the Appalachian Mountains to eventually settle in the Missouri Ozarks.” This event is free to the public.
