One Hurt In McCord Bend Crash

A 77 year old was injured in a single vehicle crash on McCord Bend Road on Saturday. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, William A. Ellenwood, 77, of Galena, was driving a 2009 Cadillac SRX south on McCord Bend Road when the crash occurred just before 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4.


The report states the SRX crossed the center lane and went off the left side of the road, hitting a tree. 


Ellenwood, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries in the crash. He was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. 


The 2009 Cadillac SRX was totaled and towed by Double Eagle Towing, of Marionville.
