One Hurt In Early Morning Crash

A Pierce City man was hurt outside of Lampe last week after his vehicle ran off the road in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 5.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Larry W. Franlin, 27, of Pierce City, was driving a 2007 Ford Fusion on Missouri Highway 86 south of Lampe when the incident occurred at 3:40 a.m.
The Fusion ran off the road while navigating a curve, the report states. The car hit a ditch and a tree before coming to a stop.
Larry Franlin suffered moderate injuries in the crash. It is unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
The 2007 Ford Fusion had extensive damage. It was removed from the scene by Chris's Towing.
This incident was investigated by Msgt. Rowe, of Missouri State Highway Patrol.
