One Dies In Christian Co. Wreck

January 10, 2019

Isaac Estes-Jones

A Nixa woman lost her life on New Year’s Eve in a head-on crash outside of Nixa.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Jessica M. Vincent, 37, of Nixa, was driving a 2005 Dodge Neon east on Highay 14, two miles west of Nixa, when the crash occurred at 1:10 p.m. on Monday, December 31.

The report states that the Neon failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line, and hit a 2004 International Propane Truck head on.

Vincent was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield by EMS. She was pronounced deceased at 1:36 p.m. by Dr. David Lee at Cox South Hospital. This is Troop D’s 133rd fatality crash for 2018.

The propane truck was driven by Scott C. Campbell, 47, of Kimberling City. He was not injured in the crash. Per Missouri law, he was tested for alcohol.

The 2005 Dodge Neon had extensive damage. The 2004 International Propane Truck had moderate damage. Both vehicles were towed by Henry’s Wrecker, of Nixa.
