Nixa Man Hurt In Motorcycle Wreck Near Highlandville

A Nixa man was hurt in a single vehicle motorcycle wreck near Highlandville in Stone County last week.


According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Gustavo Hermosillo, 60, of Nixa, was driving a 2005 Honda VT 750 C east on O Highway in northeastern Stone County when the wreck occurred on Thursday, June 13. 


According to the report, at approximately 5 p.m., the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the side of the road. 


Hermosillo was thrown from the vehicle when it overturned. He suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield by ambulance for treatment. He was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. 


The 2005 Honda VT 750 C had moderate damage and was towed by Ozark Auto, of Highlandville.
