Motorcycle Driver Hurt In Crash

A motorcycle crash on Sunday near Reeds Spring injured the driver.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Chad R. Emmerson, 51, of Ava, was driving a 2017 Harley Davidson west on US 160 when the crash occurred just after 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 13.

The vehicle went off the right side of the highway about five miles east of Reeds Spring. The motorcycle hit a sign and a fence before coming to a stop.

Emmerson, who was wearing a helmet, suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was taken by private vehicle to an unspecified hospital, according to the report.

The 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle had minor damage from the crash. It was removed from the scene by Ava Cycle.

This incident was investigated by Trooper B. A. Hall.
