Marionville Man Hurt In Barry County Wreck

A Marionville man was hurt over the weekend in a single-vehicle crash near Wheaton in Barry County. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Joshua L. Kenney, 24, of Marionville, was driving a 1996 Toyota Camry on a farm road east of Wheaton when the crash occurred at 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, January 6.
The report states that the Camry was heading south on Farm Road 1140 when it ran off the road, hit a mailbox and went through a fence before coming to a stop.
An online arrest report from MSHP indicates the Highway Patrol requested charges against Kenney before he was released for treatment. The report indicates charges of felony leaving the scene of a crash, driving with a suspended license, no seat belt and careless and imprudent driving. As of this writing, the charges have not appeared in online court records.
Joshua Kenny suffered moderate injuries in the wreck. He was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to Cox-Monett Hospital in Monett for treatment.
The 1996 Toyota Camry was totaled. It was towed by USA Auto.
