Three Vehicle Crash at Billings Injures Marionville Man

A 72 year old Marionville man was involved in a three vehicle crash, sending him to the hospital.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Lawrence King, 72, of Marionville, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet 1500 east on US Highway 60 on Friday, March 16, when the crash occurred near the intersection with Missouri 14 in Billings just after 1 p.m.
According to the report, King's Chevrolet ran off the roadway and hit a 2007 Chevrolet van parked along the roadway. The 1500 then returned to the roadway and crossed into the oncoming lane. King's vehicle hit a 2004 Kenworth driven by 56 year old Larry G. Gold, of Pierce City.
Only King reported injuries in the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt. He was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment of moderate injuries.
The 2000 Chevrolet 1500 driven by King had extensive damage. It was towed by Hillbilly Towing of Marionville. The 2004 Kenworth and 2007 Chevrolet van both had minor damage and were driven from the scene. This incident was investigated by Trooper I. Wwarren with Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D.
