MoDOT will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, March 20, to discuss their plans to replace the driving surface of the Missouri 76 bridge over Table Rock Lake. Currently MoDOT plans to start this project in 2019.
The meeting will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cape Fair Community Center, 8627 Route 76 in Cape Fair. There is no formal presentation planned. This will be a come and go style event.
The 2019 plan to rehabilitate the bridge includes replacing the deck/driving service, along with the walls or railings along the bridge and will include installing new guardrails at the bridge ends.
MoDOT has not finalized plans for traffic handling, but they do say that traffic will be impacted while construction is taking place.
For anyone who cannot attend the meeting in person, MoDOT says they will have the same displays available online at http://www.modot.org/southwest. The online public meeting is not yet active, but it will include the ability for the public to leave their comments.
The estimated total for this project is $2.5 million.
