Man Hurt After Being Rear-Ended

One person was taken to the hospital after his vehicle was rear-ended while stopped to make a left turn north of Branson. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Richard A. Prather, 64, of Lee’s Summit, was stopped at the intersection of Highway 265 and Stormy Point Road on Sunday, August 19, when the wreck occurred.
Prather was driving a 2007 Toyota Rav 4 that was facing north on 265, preparing to turn left onto Stormy Point Road when, at approximately 6:50 p.m. a 2006 Honda Accord, driven by Holly L. Buckner, 22, of Reeds Spring, struck the rear of the Rav 4.
Richard Prather suffered minor injuries in the wreck and was taken to Cox Hospital in Branson by Mercy EMS. He was wearing a seatbelt.
Holly Buckner did not report any injuries. She was also wearing a seatbelt.
The 2007 Toyota Rav 4 had moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The 2006 Honda Accord had extensive damage and was towed by Chris’ Towing of Branson West.
