Reeds Spring allegedly man found with drugs after report of a fight

A 54 year old Reeds Spring man was arrested recently after he was allegedly found with several different drugs.
According to a statement of probable cause, used in filing charges, Reeds Spring Police responded to a residence after a reported assault on Tuesday, May 15. When the officer arrived at the address on Rockytop Way, he was told that a physical altercation began after Charles Pugsley confronted another individual about rent.
Officer West was reportedly told that Pugsley, 54, had marijuana and methamphetamine in his room at the location.
Pugsley allegedly told the officer that there were no drugs in the residence. He also reportedly responded “get a warrant,” when asked to search the property.
At that point, Officer West deployed Reeds Spring Police Department’s K9 unit, Gina. Gina reported alerted on the front door of the residence, indicating she detected illegal drugs in the home.
Pugsley reportedly told the officer that he had marijuana in the residence.
Officer West, along with three Stone County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant on the residence.
They reportedly found several items in Pugsley’s room, including nearly 20 grams of marijuana, several syringes, several bags that field tested for methamphetamine, another bag that field tested positive for heroin, and other drug paraphernalia.
Pugsley was arrested and taken to the Stone County Jail, where he was initially held without bond while other charges were considered.
His bond was set at $25,000 cash only on May 18. After subsequent hearings, this bond was altered again to $25,000 cash or surety.
Pugsley is charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, a Class C felony, one count of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held in the Stone County Jail.
