Love INC School Readiness Fair Set For August

June 27, 2019

On Friday, August 2, children entering K-12 in any Stone County school will be able to receive free backpacks, grade-appropriate school supplies, shoes, socks, immunizations, sports physicals and physical development screenings, as well as a host of other services at Love INC’s 16th Annual School Readiness Fair being held at the Reeds Spring High School.

Applications are being accepted until July 22nd, by calling Love INC at 417-336-7056 or submitting their application online at www.omcloveinc.org. The online application is submitted electronically saving time for parents awaiting a return call from the Love INC office.

In 2018, over 40 organizations and churches came together to provide concessions and a bounce house in addition to the information relating to children and families that was provided at each booth. Over 250 children were assisted last year and, in addition, counselors for the Stone County schools may also benefit from any supplies that might remain following the close of the Fair.

The event is hosted by Love INC on behalf of area churches to ensure that school age children have the basics needed to begin a successful school year. The last few years have seen a significant drop in donations and we are hoping for better donation participation this year. Love INC’s anticipated cost of $50 per backpack/supplies will provide basic essentials for each child that registers for the event.

Love INC is requesting support from any Stone County church and/or business that is willing and able! We gladly accept monetary donations mailed to Love INC, 7347 W. Hwy. 76, Branson, MO, 65616, or school supply donations that can be picked up at your location. Call Love INC for details at 417-336-7056.
