February 21, 2019
Herbert Little, of Abesville, left, was presented his 55-year pin from Laborers Local 663. Business Agent Tim Price, right, presented Little with a pin and retiree cap.
Little originally joined the union to work on the Table Rock Dam in 1957, when he was 18 years old. He rejoined for good after moving back to Missouri in 1963 following a few years living in California.
“I loved the union. The benefits are beyond compare,” he said. “I wouldn’t have been able to buy a farm if I didn’t have that union job.” Little, 79, retired in 1994.
