Local fireworks ordinances for towns within the county

Crane

Fireworks are prohibited except on the fourth (4th) day of July between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 Midnight, only, of each and every year hereafter so long as the

person or persons exploding or igniting same shall have the permission of the property owner whereon the same are exploded or ignited. This section shall not grant the user of fireworks relief from any other section of the City Code such as but not limited to, property damage, peace disturbance, endangerment, etc.

No fireworks shall be discharged or caused to be discharged, ignited, fired, or otherwise set consisting of: All of block 5, 6, 7, 8 and west ½ of block 11 and 12, and lot 12 in block 4 and lot 1 in

block 9, all in North Crane, more commonly known as the downtown main street area.

Branson West

1. Consumer fireworks may be ignited, set off or caused to be discharged within the City limits only during the hours from 9:00

A.M. to 11 :59 P.M. local time during fireworks season. "Fireworks season" shall be defined as the period from the twentieth (20th) day of June through the tenth (10th) day of July, and the twentieth (20th) day of December through the second (2nd) day of January.

2. It shall be unlawful to discharge any type of fireworks:

a. Towards any person or group of people;

b. In or towards any occupied or unoccupied building or structure;

c. From or towards any vehicle;

d. From any private property without first obtaining the permission of the owner of such property;

e. In any manner intentionally designed to, or which does in fact, damage or destroy property, harass any person, or risk bodily harm to any person;

f. In any manner which creates an unreasonable risk of fire or other fire hazard; or

g. On City streets, public rights-of-way or public property.

Kimberling City

It shall be unlawful for any person within the City to discharge or cause to be

discharged, ignited, fired or otherwise set in action within the City limits any fireworks, or explosive or any other substance designed or intended for pyrotechnical use, except as provided in Section 605.130. These include, but are not limited to, firecrackers, bottle rockets, sparklers, torpedoes, roman candles, fire balloons, squibs, snakes, and spit-devils. The manufacture of any fireworks or explosives as defined by the USDT is also prohibited within City limits.

Unless a burn ban is in effect by the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District, the discharge of fireworks by the general public is permitted inside the City limits for the following dates:

1. July 2 through July 6, between the hours of 2:00 P.M. and 11:00 P.M.

B. The discharge of fireworks must be done safely. Any complaint that details hazardous activities, malicious conduct or any act in conflict with City ordinances, State or Federal laws may result in the seizure of fireworks and/or prosecution in accordance with applicable law. Additionally, anyone under the age of seventeen (17) must be supervised by a parent or adult when handling, discharging, or assisting in the discharge of fireworks.

Violations And Penalties.

Any person violating this Article may be charged with such violation as an ordinance violation and if convicted may be fined up to five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each violation and/or up to fifteen (15) days' confinement.

Reeds Spring

Fireworks are permitted to be discharged from June 20 until July 10 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. with the exception of July 4th. July 4th fireworks may be discharged until midnight.
