“Christmas of Long Ago” museum exhibit opening
November 28, 2019
“Christmas of Long Ago,” an exhibit of old toys and dollhouses, will be at the Stone County Historical/Genealogical Museum, 103 Main Street in Crane, after Thanksgiving. There will be everything from small hand held toys to large wooden sleds. The children will be astounded that some of us had toys without batteries or remote controls.
The museum also has Stone County History Books for sale, along with books from other local authors. There is a new addition to the retail book collection, “Christmas for Carlie” by Jim Barrett. This is a heart warming story that is based on a true happening here in the Ozarks. These items may be a good fit for that hard to buy for person on your list.
The December meeting of the Stone County Historical and Genealogical Society will be Saturday, December 14, at 2 p.m. Program to be announced, and there will be snacks and finger foods. All are welcome to attend.
