Lampe Man Arrested for November 2017 Assault

A 37 year old Lampe man is in custody after he allegedly assaulted a family member in November of 2017. According to online court records, a warrant was issued for Billy Bolin’s arrest on November 8, 2017. That warrant was finally served last week on Tuesday, January 9.
According to a statement of probable cause, used in filing charges against him, Billy R. Bolin assaulted a family member because he got angry. The victim reportedly told Deputy Wolfe that on November 3, Bolin grabbed her by the neck and threatened her with a knife because she did not drive him to Arkansas. Bolin allegedly held the knife to the victim’s neck several times and threatened to kill her.
Bolin was arrested on Tuesday, January 9 and taken to the Stone County Jail, where he is being held in lieu of $25,000 cash or surety bond. Bolin is charged with the Class E felony of unlawful use of a weapon by exhibiting and the Class D felony of second degree domestic assault.
