Kimberling City Reports On Holiday Drive Sober Campaign

January 23, 2020
Declaring Kimberling City Police Department’s participation in the national Holiday DWI enforcement “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” substance-impaired driving crackdown was a success, Kimberling City Police Department reported 80 vehicle stops, one DWI arrest, 11 drug arrests, 31 citations and 58 warnings during the enforcement period, which ran from December 13, 2019 to January 1, 2020.

“I am proud of our officers for their hard work and dedication to making our region’s roadways safer, said Chief Alexander. “Substance-impaired driving is more than a reckless choice by a few individuals,” he said. Each year, substance-impaired driving costs the lives of thousands on America’s highways.

Kimberling City POlice Department joined forces with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and nearly 10,000 law enforcement agencies across the country in this year’s “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
