July Summer Reading Activities At Crane And Galena Library Branches

“A Universe of Stories” summer reading program is ongoing at Stone County Library branches. 


Activities at the Crane branch


Kids Programs (for grades k-5) are held Mondays at 4 p.m.


• July 15 - Sun and star art


• July 22 - Galaxy ice cream in a bag


• July 29 - Movie Matinee showing of “Treasure Planet”


Adult programs: 


• Friday, July 12 - Movie showing “The Host” at 4:30 p.m.


• Tuesday, July 23 - Space trivia at 3 p.m.


• Wednesday, July 31 - Make a DIY sun catcher at 3:30 p.m.


Galena branch activities


Kids programs are Mondays at 11 a.m.


• July 15 - Geometric shapes in nature


• July 22 - Types of energy


• July 29 - Intergalactic Olympics


Teen programs on Mondays at 3 p.m.


• July 15 - Geometry in daily life


• July 22 - Stages of energy


Adult programs:


• July 20 - Murder Mystery Night at 6 p.m.


• July 29 - Ladies night out at 6 p.m.
