Independence Man Loses Life In Motorcycle Crash In Stone Co.

A 69 year old Independence man lost his life near Lampe last Thursday after running off the road on a motorcycle. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, James R. Graham, of Independence, was driving a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle north on Highway 13 near Lampe when the crash occurred on Thursday, September 27.
At approximately 2:39 p.m., the motorcycle ran off the right side of Highway 13 two miles south of Lampe. After leaving the road, the motorcycle hit a tree.
James R. Graham, 69, was pronounced deceased at the scene at 3:25 p.m. by Stone County Coroner John Cunnyngham. He was Troop D’s 95th fatality for 2018. Graham was wearing a safety device at the time of the incident. The Stone County Coroner took custody of his body for the family while they were notified.
The 2005 Kawasaki motorycycle had extensive damage from the crash. It was towed by Chris’ Towing, of Lampe.
This incident was investigated by Master Sergeant C. Stuart of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D.
