Hurley Team competes in pedal car competition, raises scholarship funds

Will Severns and Devin Hood took part in the second annual Magic Dragon Street Meet Pedal Car Challenge. Twenty-three teams from across the state participated in the opportunity to design a customized fully finished and painted pedal car given to them by challenge organizers. The only requirements were that the original drive train components must be included. Students were allowed to custome the body style, interior, wheel base and wheels.

This allowed middle school, high school and technical college students to apply their technical skills  in a hands on project that involved planning, design, creativity, productivity, and resourcefulness.

The pedal cars were auctioned off on May 8, 2022 at the Yacht Club Marina at Lake of the Ozarks to raise scholarship funds for Missouri students. This was Hurley’s first time participating in the challenge.
