Captain JJ Goulbourne, safety training coordinator with Cox Health, spoke to Hurley High School students about the dangers of vaping as well as the issues surrounding opioid use. Goulbourne visited with students on Tuesday, November 19. He went over the various chemicals in nicotine and marijuana vapes that could cause harm. Goulbourne emphasized the importance of youth avoiding risky behaviors and encouraged all of the students to practice good decision making and to reach out to a trusted adult if they are feeling pressured to try opioids or vaping.
