Galena’s Clark Runs Well At State

November 15, 2018
Galena junior Caleb Clark ran in Jefferson City on Saturday, November 3, at the MSHSAA Championships for Cross Country. With a field of 179 runners, Clark finished in 64th. Clark is a two-time State qualifier. The first mile was tough for Clark as he was tangled in traffic and had to run more sideways than forward. Mile two he picked up the pace as the field separated on the saturated course. Mile three got the best of Caleb. It is the toughest part of the course with several hilly transitions and uneven ground. Clark did post one of the best times and places in program history at State. “Very proud of Caleb’s performance at State and throughout the year. This finish will drive him to have a great senior year,” noted David Sherer- Galena Men’s Head Cross Country Coach
