Galena Woman Hurt in Single Vehicle Crash Near Republic

       A Galena woman was taken to the hospital on Friday, April 13, after her vehicle ran off of State Highway ZZ. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash report, Rhonda J. Long, 51, Galena, was driving a 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 van when the crash occurred at 9:45 a.m. 
       According to the report, Long was driving the van north on Route ZZ when the vehicle ran off the road about three miles south of Republic. After running off the road, the van hit a ditch before coming to a stop. 
       Long suffered moderate injuries in the crash. She was wearing a seat belt. EMS transported Long to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. 
       The 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 van had moderate damage. It was towed by Floyd’s Towing. 
       ​This crash was investigated by Corporal E. B. Adams with MSHP.
